Much publicized move, Shay Given to Manchester City, has finally gone through with the Irsih stopper moving to the City of Manchester for an undisclosed fee.
Given, hailed as one of the best around and not nearly given the credit he really deserves is set to push aside Joe Hart and Kasper Schmeichel from the goal line in the blue of Manchester as Mark Hughes looks to try and sure up the defence in his side.
Upon signing the 32 year old, Hughes had this to say.
"I am delighted that we have been able to acquire such an accomplished keeper."
Given is expected to line-out for the first time next Saturday in City's home game to Middlesbrough.
Given is the next name on the list of signings for Man City following Wayne Bridge, Craig Bellamy and Nigel de Jong to Eastlands.
